ACT I — ALARM

"Every day is footage."

Free live workshop · March 14, 2026 · 8 PM EST

01 — Philosophy

The alarm isn't noise.

It's a first frame.

The commute isn't filler.

It's a tracking shot.

I've been filming my life for three years on a phone that cost less than a lens cap. What changed wasn't the gear — it was learning to see the cut before I pressed record. A Tuesday afternoon has the same dramatic arc as a heist film. You just have to find where act two begins.

drag to compare · raw vs. graded

One frame.
Seven decisions.

Every vlog that hits different was built in post. Here's how a flat 7:12 AM coffee pour becomes the emotional anchor of an 8-minute day film.

01

Expose for the steam

Intentional overexposure on the highlight. The steam is the subject — everything else is negative space.

02

Amber LUT — not orange

Warm doesn't mean orange. Amber LUT lifts the mids into honey tones while keeping blacks cool and cinematic.

03

Lift the shadows

Crushed blacks read as thriller. Lifted shadows read as memoir. Know which film you're making at 7 AM.

04

Add grain last

Film grain at 30–35 softens digital edges. Apply after color — grain on top of grade, not under it.

"The grade isn't a filter. It's your emotional point of view."

03 — Community

Three phones.
Three ways to see.

Workshop graduates from the last cohort. Each found their signature style in 30 days.
